The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality’s Brownfields and Land Renewal Program is planning an outreach conference on October 19, 2010 at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, One Partnership Circle, Abingdon, Virginia 24210.  Topics will include Brownfields Grant opportunities, mine reclamation, historic tax credits, Virginia’s Voluntary Remediation Program, and environmental cleanup topics, all coupled with economic development and land revitalization. 

The doors will open at 9:30 and sessions will start at 10:00.  A working lunch will be provided for all attendees and speakers as long as you register by October 12, 2010 so we can get a final headcount.  The conference will wrap up by 4:00 however time will be available for questions and answers to specific situations. 

We ask that you complete the registration so we can get a final headcount for the lunch and so that we can provide e-mail updates prior to the conference for the finalized agenda, last minute updates and an upcoming webinar.
